Richard Scudder has been a member of the Jefferson County Historical Commission (JCHC) since 2017. His service has included leadership and preservation responsibilities across several roles.

The Jefferson County History YouTube channel extends historical research and education beyond meetings and publications. Richard Scudder designed and developed the channel and has created and posted dozens of videos about Jefferson County's communities, people, landmarks and stories.
