Strategy before technology

The recovered three-day seminar on strategic management of information technology examined how Internet-era technologies changed business models, customer relationships, value chains and strategic planning. Its emphasis was not simply on adopting technology, but on connecting technology investments to business needs.

The electronic-commerce course extended that approach into strategy formulation, implementation, architecture, online customer behavior and alliances.

The strategic role of IT has broadened out to the transformation of not just the value chain but of the entire value constellation. From the archived IT strategy seminar
